DAVE ADELBERG
Dave Adelberg, President is the founder of The Selling Joy System. Mr. Adelberg developed this comprehensive sales approach to ensure organizations a more consistent and expansive revenue growth stream. With over 30 years of sales success, including vast experience training and mentoring individuals and groups – as well as having owned several lucrative businesses – Dave is considered an expert in the field of sales training and management. He has also been a member of several private country clubs and served on the Board of Directors. Dave’s discipline and focus is also evidenced in his achievements as a scratch golfer and a black belt martial artist and Author of “Selling Joy” The Spiritual Path to Sales Success and Joyful Living.
David Adelberg was born and raised in Vancouver British Columbia by his Mother Marjorie, one of Canada’s most prolific musical playwrights; and his Father Benjamin, a pioneer Retailer and clothing manufacturer. From these routes came a most fascinating personal success story. Growing up in Retail and then in Real Estate, Dave achieved the highest award from the Vancouver Real Estate Board for most sales and volume produced in one year. He served on the Board of Directors of two private Golf Clubs and played as a scratch golfer most of his life. Singer, comedian, businessman and as co-founder of Selling Joy’s Training and Management Services and Author of one of the most enlightening and compelling books on Sales, Dave brings a new and refreshing approach to insuring continued growth to the golf industry. Dave's commitment to service has never waivered.

As founder and CEO of IDS Realty Corp. an International brokerage firm, he revolutionized the way institutions acquired major Real Estate. The Pro Shop showcases a course’s ambiance and culture. It is imperative that the pro shop’s functionality and design enhance not only the “Shopping Experience”, but also encourages customers to engage in conversation with staff. Dave Adelberg spent the first twenty years of his life in the retail and clothing manufacturing industry. From the cutting room to the board room, Dave possesses unparalleled knowledge and a unique understanding of what it takes to succeed in the pro shop.

TEE TIME RESERVATIONS
Implementing a reservation system that is not only efficient, but gives the customer numerous ways to take advantage of course promotions is extremely important. All staff members will learn that by “saying certain things in certain ways” reservations are never lost to the competition.

TOURNAMENTS AND SPECIAL EVENTS
The Selling Joy Golf Training and management System provides the tools and training to individual staff members in order to solicit interest from company’s and charitable organizations on a regular basis.

BUYING PROCEDURES AND INVENTORY CONTROL
The Selling Joy Golf system tracks inventory and oversees buying procedures, while insuring that all staff members are up to date with supplier promotions and recent fashion trends.

MARKETING
The Selling Joy Golf system subscribes to the adage, “Provide the best service at the lowest cost with the highest value.” Each pro shop staff member will be trained to “MARKET AND SELL” their product, and themselves by developing and using personal development and selling skills acquired in the seminar and by maintaining their daily schedules.

Course restaurants, bars and banquet facilities are promoted as an integral part to the overall atmosphere and ambiance of the course. At a convenient time the course will close for two half days for the presentation of two on site seminars. All pro shop staff, Teaching Pros, management and food and beverage staff including executive chefs, hostesses and Maitre des’ are obliged to attend.

The first seminar focuses on two major dynamics of human behavior; our beliefs and our identities. This is a thought provoking two hour journey to a unique understanding of these dynamics through the adoption of a belief that, “When Human Beings do something good; something good is going to happen,” and learning to apply that belief to the five fundamentals of Professional Salesmanship: PRODUCT KNOWLEDGE, PROSPECTING, QUALIFYING, TIME MANAGEMENT, and CLOSING.

Management and staff will learn to identify with a belief and learn to use it in ways that will not only guarantee sales success, but will also guarantee a life filled to the brim with happiness and joy.

The second seminar is an in store workshop that reinforces the fundamentals learned in the first seminar and applying them to each department, and each individual through interactive role playing and an unforgettable selling experience.
